All of us here at Cascadia Search Dogs are incredibly thankful for the work of Lyssa Holtz in designing a new logo for us! Lyssa was tireless is working with us – back and forth – patiently incorporating all we asked for into the design. And all done Pro Bono!
Thank you Lyssa! We look foward to putting our new logo on everything!
As a young organization we don’t get much mail. Recently our Treasurer opened a rather nondescript envelope only to find a big surprise inside. Within that envelope was a major donation from Gary and Agnes Yonaka.
Many of the people on our team know Gary and Agnes from years of Search and Rescue work in our community. Their donation is truly a jump start for us – a gift for which we will be forever grateful.
Grateful for a belief in us and the team we are trying to grow.
So while the words “Thank You” are the symbols of our gratitude – it really is so much more! Thank you Gary and Agnes for believing in us – two legged and four legged!
A big congratulations to K9 Vino who passed his Canine Good Citizen test today! All dogs on our team are required to pass this test. This demonstrates basic obedience skills and the ability to behave appropriately in various environments and situations.
Vino and his handler, Gordon Benedict, are currently training in Human Remains Detection.
There’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Then there’s Giving Tuesday!
#GivingTuesday connects diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.
This year we have several ways you can support the work we do. Because we are all volunteers, we depend on donations to help us purchase equipment like GPS tracking collars and radios. In addition, these dollars allow us attend workshops and seminars that help us with the specialized training needed for developing a good search dog.
This year, Facebook and PayPal have partnered to offer a matching gift program for all donations made via a Facebook page. 100% of the donation is given to the charity.
A lot goes into creating a new organization. We are so grateful for the wonderful pro bono work provided to us by two really incredible individuals. Each jumped right in to provide us with their great skills and talents – and all at no cost!
